-  Director of the Center of Excellence in biotechnology research participated in the International Conference on Plant Molecular Markers in Vienna, Austria from the 2^nd -5^th of  February, 2008.

-  The Management board of the Center of Excellence in biotechnology research will hold its first meeting on Wednesday, 20/2/1429 H.

-  The Center of Excellence in biotechnology research will host Professor David Lee from University of Maryland from the 15^th -12^th of March, 2008.

-   The Center of Excellence in biotechnology research will co-organize a training course in proteomics with the department of Biochemistry at the Faculty of Medicine and Medical Training Center from the 16^th – 19^th of March, 2008.
