Objectives:

The main objective of this center is to establish and expand the research in the areas of agriculture, medical and pharmaceutical biotechnology. This goal may be achieved by integration of research and education carried out in KSU in close cooperation with leading centers from all over the world.

 The following are specific goals that will be pursued:

• Promoting biotechnology as a discipline of research and education at King Saud University

• Enhancing cooperation between different departments in King Saud University in the field of biotechnology.

• Developing facilities and services to academic and institutional researchers.

• Improving graduate students' education at King Saud University by integration of research and education.

• Focusing on solving problems of modern life sciences related to our society in the fields of agriculture, medicine and environment.

• Enhancing collaboration and personal exchange between the center and international Institutes.

• Strengthening public private partnership.
